Clean Water II is NSF (National Science Foundation) certified as a class B system against NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for the reduction of chlorine, taste and odor, and nominal particulate reduction Class 1, and against NSF/ANSI 53 for the reduction of cysts and turbidity, and against Standard 55 for disinfection performance Class B.
It was also tested by Spectrum laboratories against NSF/ANSI Standard 53 for the reduction of lead. This class B water purifier system conforms to NSF/ANSI 55 Standard for the supplemental germicidal treatment of disinfected public drinking water which has been tested and deemed acceptable for human consumption by the state or local health agency having jurisdiction. The system is only designed to reduce normally occurring non-pathogenic microorganisms. Class B systems are not intended for disinfection of contaminated water.
